Feature Requests

Please, add syntax highlighting to the subject languages. I see that you are using PrismJS for syntax highlighting. Why not just add all languages supported by the library? This is essential for a blogging platform that is targeting programmers. Or maybe you may allow the users to extend their blogs through JS libraries or custom JS Code. _Thanks_

As of now, we can publish only two kinds of articles, one that is public and the other, hidden from the community. It’d be great to have a feature where we can publish articles that only our Hashnode-sponsors can read. These articles can only be accessed if people are logged into the Hashnode account that paid for the sponsorship. It’ll be a good incentive for people to sponsor blogs and also an opportunity for writers like us to thank our supporters.

Bloggers usually like to learn from their audience so a feature like Polls could help us a lot in it. It can be inserted in the blog itself or there can be a separate page where we can add our own poll and see top polls.

In a tech oriented blog platform, Mermaid is a must-have markdown feature.

We have multiple badges now and some of them take more than one article to claim. It would be nice to have a page that shows how far we are from the badge collection! Will help keep bloggers motivated.

I would definitely like to monetize my hashnode blog. I moved my blog from medium to here and now I want to do something under my own field. I have about 20k-30k monthly readers and I would like to turn this into income. Will adsense feature come? other methods unfortunately do not work in every country and they are quite complex. I don't want to leave hashnode, but that might be my only excuse. thank you so much.

Hello, Subscribers aren’t fully subscribed until they confirm their email in the inbox. I’ve noticed that most people think you're subscribed once they input their emails. I know this because pending subscribers stay there and never fully subscribe. Is it possible to have a single opt-in newsletter? Or clarify that they need to check their email to subscribe. I’ve lost so many subscribers because they don’t confirm their emails. Thanks!

Hello, the team of Hashnode, you are already doing great. I want to grab your attention to your audience analysis that atleast 50% of the people using this platform are Indian for sure. Why dont you add a seperate space for sponsers using razorpay payment system? Its called Payment Buttons in razorpay, here is the link to it https://razorpay.com/payment-buttons/ I cant deny the fact that stripe nd paypal are great, but they dont support that much flexibilities with Indian banks , UPI etc and many need to login to stripe to pay, so it becomes hectic. You can use the sponsor button like, when we click on sponser, you show a dialog box to ask if razorpay(india) or stripe (outside india). This is gonna help more to us. It would be nice to have an organizing feature for Bookmarks similarly to the feature the Pinterest has with organizing boards. It would save a lot of time if we could organize bookmarks by our own means e.g.: have a board for bookmarks organized by author or specific field (subject) . You get the idea . I am highly recommending to revise this feature requested . Thank you .

It'd be awesome if we could have a word counter as we type in the SEO settings so that we keep the limits.
